Sports, culture and the joy of being together
The Archdiocesan Board of Education conducted Sports and Cultural Programmes for the staff working in ABE institutions as part of the Teachers’ Day celebrations.
The programme was inaugurated by Rt. Rev. Dr. Arokia Raj Satis Kumar, Vice President, ABE.
It was conducted under the leadership of Fr. Rayappa M., Secretary-cum-Treasurer; Fr. Divya Paul, Joint Secretary; and Coordinator Fr. Vivek Lionel Basu, Manager & Correspondent, St Joseph’s Educational Institution, with the help of the ABE Physical Education staff and the staff members of St. Joseph’s Institution, Fr Briand Square.
It was an opportunity for the staff to showcase their talents and return to the joyful spirit of their school days. The programme demonstrated that the members of the ABE family excel not only in teaching, but also in sports, dance, singing and other cultural activities.
It was a day to step away from routine work—to forget for a while the files, classrooms, meetings, examinations and targets—and to relax, enjoy, celebrate and create beautiful memories together.
Around 1,000 staff members participated. Priests working in the institutions also joined the staff in the games. The programme was organised at St. Joseph’s Educational Institution, Fr Briand Square, Bengaluru.
The staff played with enthusiasm and performed remarkably well. Their participation showed the same sincerity and commitment that they encourage in their students every day.
